Primrose – Primula vulgaris. Once very common along hedgerows and leafy lanes but now less so. Simple pale yellow flowers from early March-May look magnificent en masse. I grow primroses in my orchard and I know that Spring really is on it's way when they start to flower. Will self seed in grass. Divide after flowering. Available from the nursery or our stall at plant fairs in one litre pots only. We usually sell out of this plant, pre-order recommended. Price £4.
Perennial, prefers dappled shade, damp conditions.
